Dedicated family weeks offer many fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. 

The Historic Pines offers one of the best riding programs in Southern Colorado with riding for every age and skill level.  We host an end of the week guest rodeo, with team penning and rodeo practice all week.  There are many different types of terrains to ride on during your visit, mountain trails, open meadows, and creeks to cross.  We offer advanced lessons at no extra charge!

We offer nightly entertainments such as a campfire sing-a-long, country dance night, a special evening for the children with native indian dancers, a bust-yer gut western staff show, cook-outs, and wagon rides. 

Children ages 2-6 enjoy our full time children's program that includes daily riding, hiking, and children's fishing derby. We also offer a program for teens and pre-teens.

All of our cabins are private and range in size from 1-4 bedrooms and have porches with beautiful views of the mountains around us.

Our indoor swimming pool, hot tub and saunas are wonderfully refreshing after a long day of riding and playing in the Colorado high country!

We are located 98 miles southwest of Colorado Springs, in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Near the town of Westcliffe, which offers shopping, and fun western events.
