Dedicated family weeks offer many fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. 

The Historic Pines offers one of the best riding programs in Southern Colorado with riding for every age and skill level.  We host an end of the week guest rodeo, with team penning and rodeo practice all week.  There are many different types of terrains to ride on during your visit, mountain trails, open meadows, and creeks to cross.  We offer advanced lessons at no extra charge!

We offer nightly entertainments such as a campfire sing-a-long, country dance night, a special evening for the children with native indian dancers, a bust-yer gut western staff show, cook-outs, and wagon rides. Treasure hunting is also a great way to spend your time!  Within easy hiking distance you can hunt for old calvary bullets, canon balls and Indian artifacts!

Children ages 2-6 enjoy our full time children's program that includes daily riding and riding lessons, nature hiking, western crafts, gold panning and children's fishing derby plus much more! We also offer a program for teens and pre-teen and have babysitting services for children under the age of two.

All of our cabins are private and range in size from 1-4 bedrooms and have porches with beautiful views of the mountains around us.

Our indoor swimming pool, hot tub and saunas are wonderfully refreshing after a long day of riding and playing in the Colorado high country!

We are located 98 miles southwest of Colorado Springs, in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Near the town of Westcliffe, which offers shopping, and fun western events.
